The Western Rose Tour combines the beauty of the Rose Parade with the western heritage of Southern California. Attend Bandfest and Equestfest. Visit the Autry Museum of the American West. We’ve even included a trip to the Huntington Museum and Gardens and the Academy Awards Museum of Motion Pictures.

Enjoy the festivities leading up to the Tournament of Roses celebration. See the sights, and hear the stories that have made Southern California a place of fame and infamy.

Dec. 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction

Dec. 29 – Equestfest | Autry Museum of the American West | Santa Monica Shuttle

Attend Equestfest, your opportunity to get an advance look at the horses and visit with the riders of the Rose Parade. Enjoy the trick riding and roping and other equestrian talents of the skilled riders. It’s a festive atmosphere with displays and music.
A variety of food choices are available for purchase in the vendor area at Equestfest.
Explore the Autry Museum and experience a local Los Angeles favorite. See film memorabilia, Native American art, paintings, and other culturally significant contributions of art and history from the American West.
Hop aboard the complimentary shuttle to Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the shopping, dining, and street entertainers at the Third Street Promenade as well as the other attractions of Santa Monica.

Dec. 30 – Bandfest | Lunch | The Academy Awards Museum of Motion Pictures

Preview award-winning marching bands at Bandfest, and see the field shows that earned each a trip to the Rose Parade.
Be our guest for lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which includes six stories and over 50,000 square feet dedicated to the art and science of movies. Its galleries include photographs, films, posters, screenplays, historic motion picture objects, and more.

Dec. 31 – Float Barns | Lunch | The Huntington Library, Museum & Gardens

Tour the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on Rose Parade floats.
Enjoy lunch with your group.
Travel to San Marino and tour The Huntington. Experience a stunning array of 16 themed botanical gardens with over 15,000 varieties of plants from around the world. Explore the gardens, streams, and paths at your leisure and discover that something beautiful is always in bloom. The Huntington Library Exhibition Hall also includes art collections and rare book exhibits, including the Gutenberg Bible, one of only 12 surviving copies printed on vellum.

Jan. 1 – The Rose Parade

We have a spectacular day planned for you. Be sure to join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
Following the Parade, enjoy a deluxe box lunch as you return to your hotel.
Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.
