A Rose Parade and Float Decorating Experience that includes float construction viewing, a Hollywood tour, the Getty Center, Santa Monica, and more!
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 – Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025
Combine the fun and excitement of the Rose Parade with the rare treat of decorating two parade floats. Then watch with pride from the grandstands as your floats pass in front of you. On The Float Builder Experience, you’ll spend part of two days putting the final touches on two Tournament of Roses floats. You’ll also visit a commercial float barn to admire the progress of other floats that will be in the parade. We’ve even included a visit to the Getty Center and a tour of Hollywood.
Enjoy the festivities leading up to the Tournament of Roses celebration. See the sights, and hear the stories that have made Southern California a place of fame and infamy.
And that’s just the beginning. The Float Builder Experience includes a spectacular Tournament of Roses Parade celebration. We’ll take care of the details. And that means you can relax and have a great time.

Six Days / Five Nights: Includes The Rose Parade
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 – Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025
Dec. 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction
- Upon your arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), shuttles for the short ride to the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel are provided.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks welcome desk on the Ballroom level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star LAX Marriott is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles.
Dec. 29 – Brunch | Decorate A Float | Santa Monica Shuttle
- Join us for brunch at the hotel before departing for your float decorating experience.
- Take part in a rare opportunity as you join a float decorating team to put the finishing touches on a Rose Parade Float. Work may include trimming, cutting, or putting flowers in vails. (Note that the needs of the float builder will determine all work at the time of your shift and will be based on the total number of participants present at that time. Participants may be rotated on and off assignments to allow all to participate.)
- In the evening (4:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.), hop aboard the complimentary shuttle to the Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the shopping, dining, and street entertainers at the Third Street Promenade as well as the other attractions of Santa Monica.
- Meals Provided: Brunch
Dec. 30 – Float Decoration Viewing | Lunch | Decorate A Float
- Travel to the Pasadena area to Tour a Float Barn and see what other participants have created as they work around the clock to put the finishing touches on Rose Parade floats.
- Join us for lunch along the way.
- In the afternoon, join another float decorating team and work on another entry in the Parade.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
Dec. 31 – Hollywood Tour | Lunch | Getty Center
- Take a tour of Hollywood.
- Be our guest for lunch at a local restaurant.
- Experience the Getty Center and its collection of European and American art, outdoor sculptures, and the breathtaking views of its gardens and terraces.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
Jan. 1 – The Rose Parade
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Following the Parade, enjoy a deluxe box lunch as you return to your hotel.
- Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Deluxe Box Lunch
Jan. 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles. Join us in the ballroom for breakfast before departing for Los Angeles International Airport.
- Bon voyage and have a safe trip home. We hope to see you again soon.
