The Float Builder Universal
A Rose Parade and Float Decorating Experience that includes float construction viewing, Universal Studios and Santa Monica.

Combine the fun and excitement of the Rose Parade with the rare treat of decorating parade floats. Then watch with pride from the grandstands as your floats pass in front of you. On the Float Builder Universal you’ll spend part of two days putting the final touches on the floats. You’ll also visit a commercial float barn to admire the progress of other floats that will be in the parade. We’ve even included Universal Studios Tour, lunch on the Santa Monica Pier.
Enjoy the festivities leading up to the Tournament of Roses celebration, see the sights, and hear the stories the have made Southern California a place of fame and infamy.

Six Days / Five Nights: Includes The Rose Parade
Monday, Dec. 28, 2026 – Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027
December 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction
- Upon your arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), shuttles for the short ride to the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel are provided.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk on the Ballroom level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star LAX Marriott is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles.
December 29 – Decorate A Float | Santa Monica Shuttle
- Take part in a rare opportunity as you join a float decorating team to put the finishing touches on a Rose Parade Float. Work may include trimming, cutting, or putting flowers in vails. (Note that the needs of the float builder will determine all work at the time of your shift and will be based on the total number of participants present at that time. Participants may be rotated on and off assignments to allow all to participate.)
- In the evening (4:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.), hop aboard the complimentary shuttle to the Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the shopping, dining, and street entertainers at the Third Street Promenade as well as the other attractions of Santa Monica.

December 30 – Decorate A Float | Float Barn Construction | San Antonio Winery
- After Breakfast, visit the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade Floats.
- Join another float decorating team and work on another entry in the parade
- Lunch at the San Antonio Winery
- In the afternoon a Hollywood Tour

December 31 – Universal Studios
- Experience the thrills and attractions of Los Angeles with your very own theme park pass. With thrilling rides, a tour of a real movie studio, and a selection of great restaurants.
- Meals Included: Breakfast
January 1 – The Rose Parade | Lunch in Redondo Beach
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras – Please note: The sun will be at your back. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Meals Included Breakfast & Lunch
January 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles. Join us in the ballroom for breakfast before departing for Los Angeles International Airport.
- Bon voyage and have a safe trip home. We hope to see you again soon.
