We’ve combined the beauty and pageantry of the Rose Parade with relaxing evenings in Long Beach. Enjoy a uniquely Southern California experience at a pace that keeps it fun.
In the days leading up to the Parade, you’ll visit the Float Construction Barns and see Rose Parade Floats in their final stages of construction.
Take a scenic motorcoach tour along the coast to the Getty Villa followed by a stop at the Santa Monica Pier and a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. We’ll also travel to San Marino to visit the Huntington Museum and Gardens. Take a stroll through the Enchanted Forest at the Descanso Gardens and enjoy the Holliday light show.
Of course, the Rose Parade is the main attraction of the Sterling Rose Tour. So join us in the grandstands, near the television cameras, for one of the best views along the parade route.

December 29 – Hotel Check-in | Introduction | Evening Shuttle to Belmont Shore
- Your tour begins at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown Hotel.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- Hop on the evening shuttle to Belmont Shore and enjoy the shopping, dining, and beautiful scenes of this Southern California enclave.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star Marriott Down Town Long Beach Hotel is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of the Sterling Rose Tour.
December 30 – Scenic Coastal Tour
- After the full American breakfast buffet, board your motorcoach for the Getty Villa. The Getty Villa, located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, is a stunning museum dedicated to the art and culture of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. Modeled after a Roman country house, the villa offers visitors an immersive experience with its classical architecture, tranquil gardens, and extensive collection of ancient artifacts. The Getty Villa is both a cultural treasure and a serene retreat, blending art, history, and nature in a picturesque coastal setting.
- Join us for lunch at a local restaurant.
- Visit Santa Monica Pier, an iconic landmark in Southern California,enjoy leisure time in this bustling destination that combines scenic beauty with vibrant attractions. The pier extends into the Pacific Ocean and offers visitors stunning views of the coastline. Famous for its amusement park, including the Pacific Wheel, an iconic solar-powered Ferris wheel,

December 31 – Float Construction Barns | The Huntington Library, Museum & Gardens | Light Show
- After the full American Breakfast Buffet travel to the Float Construction Barns. and explore as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade floats
- Travel to San Marino and tour The Huntington. Experience a stunning array of 16 themed botanical gardens with over 15,000 varieties of plants from around the world. Explore the gardens, streams, and paths at your leisure and discover that something beautiful is always in bloom. The Huntington Library Exhibition Hall also includes beautiful art collections and rare book exhibits, including the Gutenberg Bible, one of only 12 surviving copies printed on vellum.. Enjoy an evening Light Show on a walk through Descano Gardens.
- Be our guest for dinner a local restaurant.
- After dinner we will make the short journey to The Descanso Gardens Light Show, known as The Enchanted Forest of Light. This interactive nighttime experience transforms the garden's natural beauty into a magical wonderland of illuminated displays. Visitors can walk through a series of themed light installations, from shimmering forests to glowing pathways, all set against the backdrop of the lush gardens. Perfect for all ages, the show combines art, technology, and nature, offering a unique and enchanting holiday tradition that captivates the senses.

January 1 – The Rose Parade
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Be sure to join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Following the Parade, enjoy a deluxe box lunch as you return to your hotel.
- Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.

January 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Sterling Rose Tour.
