We’ve combined the beauty and pageantry of the Rose Parade with relaxing evenings in Long Beach. Enjoy a uniquely Southern California experience at a pace that keeps it fun.
In the days leading up to the Parade, you’ll visit the Float Construction Barns and see Rose Parade Floats in their final stages of construction.
Take a scenic motorcoach tour through several coastal enclaves on your way to the Mission San Juan Capistrano. Enjoy an evening Light Show at the mission followed by dinner at El Adobe Restaurant. We’ll also travel to San Marino to visit the Huntington Museum and Gardens. Take a stroll through the Enchanted Forest at the Descanso Gardens and enjoy the Holliday light show.
Of course, the Rose Parade is the main attraction of the Sterling Rose Tour. So join us in the grandstands, near the television cameras, for one of the best views along the parade route.
Each night, relax in 4-star hotel accommodations at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown Hotel, which includes a daily breakfast.

December 29 – Hotel Check-in | Introduction | Evening Shuttle to Belmont Shore
- Your tour begins at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown Hotel.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- Hop on the evening shuttle to Belmont Shore and enjoy the shopping, dining, and beautiful scenes of this Southern California enclave.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star Renaissance Long Beach Hotel is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of the Sterling Rose Tour.
December 30 – (Afternoon Departure) Scenic Coastal Tour | Light Show at Mission San Juan Capistrano | El Adobe Dinner
- After the full American breakfast buffet, enjoy a leisurely morning on your own, relaxing or exploring your beautiful surroundings in Long Beach.
- In the afternoon, board your motorcoach and meander along a scenic southern coastal tour as you make your way to San Juan Capistrano.
- Visit Laguna Beach and other coastal communities along your route.
- Enjoy an evening Light Show on a walk through the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, a place of beauty and inspiration for over 240 years.
- Be our guest for dinner at El Adobe Restaurant

December 31 – Float Construction Barns | The Huntington Library, Museum & Gardens
- Explore the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade floats.
- Join us for lunch along the way.
- Travel to San Marino and tour The Huntington. Experience a stunning array of 16 themed botanical gardens with over 15,000 varieties of plants from around the world. Explore the gardens, streams, and paths at your leisure and discover that something beautiful is always in bloom. The Huntington Library Exhibition Hall also includes art collections and rare book exhibits, including the Gutenberg Bible, one of only 12 surviving copies printed on vellum.

January 1 – The Rose Parade
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Be sure to join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Following the Parade, enjoy a deluxe box lunch as you return to your hotel.
- Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.

January 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Sterling Rose Tour.
